INFLIGHT
1999 · 7 min 10 sec · Co-directed with Steven Marshall
INFLIGHT is an experimental film inspired in part by Chris Marker’s La Jetée. Using still photography by Maria Mochnacz, it follows a man’s journey through an airport, interspersed with intimate home-movie footage suggesting memories of places and people left behind, or perhaps those he is travelling to be with. The film moves between departure and arrival, memory and anticipation, leaving the nature of the journey unresolved. Music by Helen Caddick and featuring Neil Storer as The Leaver.
