This moving-image work is assembled live by a computer, unfolding continuously rather than playing back as a fixed edit.

Built in TouchDesigner, the system uses three movie players whose images are layered over one another. Animation clips are organised into five phase folders, with a separate folder for text animations.

Custom Python code selects clips at random and controls their scale and position. Each player has its own settings, creating variations in when and how the clips appear and interact.

The work moves through five two-minute phases, each drawing from a different collection of material. Three audio players simultaneously layer sounds chosen at random from folders of found and recorded sounds.

The ten-minute structure repeats, but the combinations within it change. What you see is one possible version of the work, rather than a single, definitive edit.
